Lopez Labs was established in 1992 by the Masonry Heater
Association. It purpose is to obtain reliable North American performance data on masonry
heaters and masonry fireplaces.
A variety of masonry heaters has been tested. At over one hundred and fifty test runs,
this is the largest masonry heater performance database in North America. Lopez also
participated with two other labs in a simultaneous field test series of masonry fireplaces
at McNear Brick in California in 1995.
Lopez Labs facilities are located in Marysville, WA, and Shawville, Quebec.
