Hi Norbert
I did not get a chance to write an evaluation before I left, so I thought I'd email it to you.
I liked the workshop very much. I think that it ran very smoothly. The classroom sessions were informative and helped me understand the chemistry of wood combustion much better. I am having a hard time trying to think of any way to improve it. I think it will be a very worth while addition to the heater masons reference manual. I think a course on sizing a heater to a house might be helpful, figuring out heat loss and insulative values. It seems like a heater mason needs to be as knowledgeable as an HVAC technician when meeting with clients. I am starting to build a bell heater in my house that Alex designed and would be willing to test it to help collect more data on custom heater designs. Maybe the MHA could have a mobile Lopez Labs to collect data from numerous heater designs in the future.
Thank you for putting on the workshop.
